Jeddah's history goes back for more than 2500 years. Jeddah's history is made by variuos empires and foreign powers that conquered and settled in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). The museums show the rich cultural (Islamic) heritage of the city, it's a predominantly Islamic city that's visited by numerous pelgrims, but Jeddah is as mentioned before a very good place to visit if you like history, old traditional architecture (reconstructed old city gates) and archaeology.
